Screen Tight Base 1 1/2″ X 8′ (20 Pack)

Screen Tight Base pack offers an easy way to screen-in your porch, deck, lanai, gazebo, or other outdoor structure. Simply install the base on 2x2s or 2x4s of your structure with wood screws, spline in screen into the two channels and snap on Screen Tight Cap (sold separately). Screen Tight Base sticks are 8′ long and come in black, but are covered by Screen Tight Cap which comes in multiple colors.

How Do You Attach a Screen to a Porch?

With Screen Tight base or other screening systems. Screen Tight base is attached to 2x2s or 2x4s of your porch with wood screws, and it has 2 channels in each base to spline in screen material. Once these steps are complete, you can snap on the Screen Tight Cap for a finished look. 

Can You Staple Screen to Wood Frame?

Yes, but it is not recommended. Stapling screen to wood framing is the old-school way of creating a screen enclosure. However, it is no longer the best way. It is not only hard to install but it is nearly impossible to rescreen without completely rebuilding the frame as well. Porch screening systems such as Screen Tight are easy to install and eliminate the need for rebuilding when you need to replace the screen mesh.
